  Before I Sleep is the story of an old poet - Eugene Devlin - once a famous Pulitzer prize winner, now living alone, bitter and washed up... His health failing, Eugene is devastated when the love of his life dies - prompting him to confront his mistakes, accept his own mortality and pick through the past for answers to his life. A man known for his writing - is left at a loss for words as he searches in the forests, by the river, even in the graveyard; through strangers and family and distant memories, seeking forgiveness, hoping to find a few last moments of peace before he sleeps.
