NTSC/Region 0. The classic 1949 film produced and directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Victor Mature and Hedy Lamarr in the title roles. Samson is the legendary strongman in this story from the Bible who is first seduced and later betrayed by the beautiful Delilah. Samson is known as muscular and fearless in his barehanded battle with a lion, his single-handed assault on 1,000 philistine soldiers, his struggle with a giant and the spectacular climax where he pulls the pagan temple. But even Samson's strength has it's weakness as there isn't a man in the world who won't share his secrets with some woman. Most men have been trapped by smiles rather than by ropes. Castaways.

NTSC/Region 0. Cast: Lana Turner, John Gavin, Sandra Dee Director: Douglas Sirk. The story chronicles two widows and their troubled daughters as they struggle to find true happiness amidst racial prejudice. Lora plays the white mother whose Hollywood starlet ambitions come at the expense of any meaningful relationship with her daughter Susie. Her black housekeeper Annie faces rejection of her own fair-skinned daughter Sarah Jane. As years of selfishness and denial pass, tragedy strikes and forces the women to come to terms with their own identities.

NTSC/Region 0. James Hilton's novel Lost Horizon proposes a perfect hidden community within the uncharted Himalayas, a land where peace reigns and the inhabitants live for hundreds of years. Director Frank Capra spared no expense in creating Hilton's paradise onscreen and the results are magical: shimmering, seductive, and maybe a bit foolish, truly the creation of an idealist. Ronald Colman, also an idealist, at his most marvelously elocutionary, plays a wise diplomat whose plane crashes in the snows of Tibet. He and the other survivors are guided to Shangri-La, where they wrestle with the invitation to stay. The young Jane Wyatt plays Colman's love interest, but leaving a more lasting impression are H.B. Warner, as the benevolent Chang, and Sam Jaffe, in great old-age makeup, as the wizened High Lama.
