  After nearly a century of waiting, the Oregon Ducks are again the champions of the storied Rose Bowl Game - defeating Big Ten champion Wisconsin 45-38. Adding to the drama, the Ducks were forced to wait a few moments longer than expected to learn if the game was in fact over, or if the Badgers were going to have one last shot. The official review indicated the clock had reached 0:00 on Wisconsin's last drive, and for the Ducks the waiting was history and the celebration began! Oregon's incredible offense to a beating to Wisconsin and busted up the record books on the way to the Ducks' first Rose Bowl victory since 1917 - the highest-scoring Rose Bowl Game (or contest) in history. It was the No. 5 BCS-ranked Ducks' first bowl victory under coach Chip Kelly.
  
  Oregon quarterback Darron Thomas passed for three touchdowns, De'Anthony Thomas scored on runs of 91 and 64 yards. Wide receiver Lavasier Tuinei caught eight passes for 158 yards and two TDs for the Ducks.
  
  Wearing new uniforms and playing at their usual frantic pace, Oregon racked up 621 total yards.
  
  Wisconsin's Montee Ball ran for 122 of his 164 yards in the first half for the Badgers, who came away with their second straight Rose Bowl Game loss, despite managing 508 offensive yards of their own in this match-up. In the last game of his extraordinary season, quarterback Russell Wilson repeatedly moved Wisconsin down the field in the final minutes, but key mistakes and bad time management were just too much overcome for the Badgers.
